Balance and Inclusion
A peaceful school life
At EM Normandie, your academic and professional success is not the only thing we care about.
We all go through difficult times and we can quickly feel overwhelmed and isolated… Don’t hesitate to ask for help!
The School offers to support you when you are facing difficulties that may impact your personal and/or academic life: psychologists, social workers and project managers are available to you free of charge and in complete confidentiality throughout the year.
The aim of the Balance and Inclusion service is to provide personalised support to EM Normandie students so that their studies at the School take place in the best possible conditions and are best adapted to their profile.
This service is based on five main principles:
- Equal opportunities, by facilitating access to the School and ensuring that all students receive the same level of education, in particular through financial aid, most of which is funded by the EM Normandie Foundation. Students can apply for grants directly on our dedicated platform: https://funding-support.em-normandie.com/fr/
- Social and psychological support, by offering the free and confidential services of psychologists and a social worker on each campus.
- Disability, thanks to the introduction of suitable facilities and individualised support for the students concerned in all their procedures, whether internal (expatriation, etc.) or external (declaration to the MDPH, etc.).
- Gender equality, the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people and the fight against sexist and sexual violence, discrimination, harassment and hazing, through the organisation of awareness-raising workshops throughout the year, the provision of sanitary protection and the creation of a single unit dedicated to supporting students:
- The prevention of risky behaviour, through awareness campaigns and the organisation of theme weeks on the subjects of well-being and health (addictions, stress management, etc.). The School can also provide breathalysers, condoms and hearing protection on its campuses.
